Natalia Byrdina
Natalia Byrdina is an artist whose practice explores the symbiosis of psychology and painting, aiming to build a bridge between the beautiful and the spiritual, and to bring emotions closer to understanding. She experiments with materials and textures, striving to create reality rather than illusion in her works. Her art can range from playful to confronting, reflecting the full spectrum of human experience.
Byrdina graduated from art school and pursued additional courses in easel, lacquer-miniature, and sculptural painting. She also holds a master's degree in psychology from KhNU named after Karazin. From 2020 to 2022, she studied at the Higher School "Learning Environment," focusing on the history and theory of contemporary art. She has exhibited in solo shows at the Palladium gallery and the Buzok gallery in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and participated in group exhibitions.
Her works, which include acrylic, oil, and ink, have received recognition in various competitions. She was awarded "Best in Show" in the Paintings and Drawings category at the international competition “ALL Botanical” from Contemporary Art Gallery Online for her work "Peonies." Other accolades include first place in the "Conceptual Abstraction" nomination at St. Petersburg Art Week for "Wave of Changes" and first place in the "Portrait in the avant-garde manner" category at the international competition of portrait painters "Art-Portrait" in Moscow for "Angel of Chastity." She currently practices painting at the "ART PEOPLE" studio and conducts master classes on techniques such as resin art, alcoholic ink, and acrylic puddles.
